A virtual summer program for entering 5th and 6th grade students who love making art and who want to improve their writing skills.
When: Monday, June 21, 2021 through Friday, July 9, 2021
9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Where: A Virtual writing and art class (a zoom link will be provided upon enrollment)
Tuition: $2,000 plus $30.00 art supplies
Pat O’Connor, art teacher for over 30 years and Educational Therapist in private practice for 15 years, directs this innovative and award winning course (Robert Rauschenberg Power of Art Award, the Lab School of Washing D.C.) for middle school age students. Class size is limited to provide individual attention. Pat’s approach engages students and encourages writing through the lens of the visual arts. Attention is given to writing conventions and expository writing structure while encouraging voice and lending empowerment to young students who struggle to express themselves through extended writing.
