Curiosity Sparks Learning
Every student is curious and wants to do well in school. The learning process involves making mistakes, taking risks, and discovering new horizons. The journey demands resilience and is exhilarating. Students who live with learning disabilities are at risk in the classroom. If not demystified, learning challenges can corrode a young person’s confidence. My collaboration with students builds self-esteem by identifying strategies based on interests and strengths. These strategies, which are multi-sensory, are utilized to bridge the gap between confusion and clarity.
As an educational therapist, I work with elementary and middle school age students in the areas of Reading, Writing, Math, Study Skills, and Art. My students have a variety of diagnosed and undiagnosed learning issues, including, but not limited to:
Learning Disabilities (LD/SLD)
